Jenna Mcafee
Jenna is our Practice Owner and Senior Speech Pathologist. She has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Hons) from the University of Queensland, and has recently started her PhD! She launched JMZ Speech Pathology in 2017 after working in the public sector in both Australia and in the UK.
I have extensive experience in the Disability Sector, and have a passion for ‘giving people a voice’. My special interests are working with young children to promote language development and explore Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). I enjoy working with fussy eaters, to promote a wider acceptance of foods and reduce the stresses around mealtimes.
I also work with adults with acquired brain injuries and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), to increase their quality of life.
I believe in addressing person-centred goals and educating and empowering family members to provide therapy at home.
My husband and I have a beautiful little boy, and another on the way! I enjoy travelling, pilates and crossfit.
KATELYN HARTWELL
Katelyn has just completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Hons) from CQUniversity! She is passionate about rural and remote health and providing families in these areas the healthcare they deserve.
She loves to bake, particularly cakes, and loves animals (her and her husband now have 4 dogs!) and has recently bought a farm property which they are renovating!
